As moderator, I want to ask all members to review their profile picture (Click Settings in upper right corner box to access your profile settings). The Member Rules require that you post under your actual name and with a picture of yourself.

I realize some members are "camera shy" and really don't want to post a picture of themselves, so they instead post a picture of their plane, their kids, their dog, or the neighbor's wife (Just kidding! Wanted to see if you're paying attention!).  When I became the moderator, I did not try to strictly enforce the personal profile picture rule as there were already so many non-compliant ones out there! Since then, I have encouraged new members to post a personal picture ... it's really nice to associate a face with a name and even helps one recognize friends they've made on the forum when they attend events such as Zenith fly-ins and the AirVenture banquet. I, myself, was guilty of an inadequate picture - I formerly used one of me beside my plane - made it easy to identify the plane, but my face was so tiny in the picture that it was useless for identification!

I would like for all members to review the Member Rules and if you do have a personal picture that you can comfortably use for your profile, please use it! Just go to "Settings" in the box under your name in the upper right corner of the page and you will find the information to change your profile picture.

Your consideration and cooperation is most appreciated!

I tired John.  It would not let me.  Some type of error.  I will try later to fix.  I personally would rather see peoples airplanes.  I can remember planes much easier than trying to connect names and faces.  :-)

Thanks for trying, Joe!  We try to use faces as it makes everyone less anonymous and more a part of a real community of builders and flyers - besides, you can click on that member's picture which will take you to their page where hopefully they have posted oodles of pictures of their plane, dog, wife ... uh, not necessarily listed in order of importance!  ;>)

I'm not a technical type, but sometimes reducing the file size of your picture (like you do when reducing picture file sizes for email) might help with the upload.  If problems persist, Efe Cem Elci, another member, is definitely the tech-savvy guy to contact!

Folks at least need to be able see my Harley Davidson shirt!  :-)

I hope the one of me and my kids will "fly" lol!

P.S. I'm the taller one. Haha!

Works for me and welcome! I hope you'll find these forums inspire you to get building. There are lots of friendly and helpful people here!

Thanks for the picture and looking forward to your active participation in these forums.

They already have. Someone at Van's who was trying to sell me an RV12 said the forum here is inactive, touting their "better" forum. WHAT A CROCK!! Indeed, the people here have been quite a bit more friendly than over there as far as I can tell.
Thanks for the welcome.

It took a while but I think I figured it out John. We'll see what picture shows up with this message when I post it. Sigh, I kinda liked the picture of me and Pat and the faithful Stinson but agree it does not show much of my old mug.

Not on topic and I have a request.  I suggest having a dedicated forum for all things electrical.  We may build different planes with different engines but we all have to deal with electricity.  What do you think.

David

Works for me!

That's a good idea ... however, I just moderate the forum and don't do the lay-out, etc.  Efe Cem Elci has served as a volunteer webmaster - you might see if he wants to add another forum and/or contact Sebastien at Zenith to see what he thinks.
