I'm watching weather forecasts and hope that on Aug 21 it is clear in the Mexico , Mo area. I am planning trip up from Texas to view the event. Anyone wanting to meet?  Ive checked and mexico on edge of totality but going only a few miles toward Columbia WOW (nasa has charts available)

well just getting ideas, hope to lure some of my Wisconsin friends down. I hope to depart Texas that Monday or Sunday before

Mexico, MO is a bit too far north.  The view will be better in Columbia, MO.  It's only total for 1 minute 19 seconds in Mexico, vs. 2 minutes 39 second at the Columbia Airport.  Better call ahead to any airport your planning to visit because they are apt to be crowded.

Mexico is in the path of totality for the Total Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017!  There will be (approx.) 1m 19s of totality!

Total Solar Eclipse at Mexico, Missouri: 21 AUG 2017

Totality Start: 1:13:43PM (CDT)

Duration of Totality: 1m 19s

Partial phase start: 11:46:29AM (CDT)

I expect nothing less than a picture of the Zenith crew in full goofy eclipse glasses!!

Pretty nifty website showing the path and start/end times of the eclipse.

We are planning on flying down from Michigan. The Mexico area isnt our closest point to see the eclipse but if Zenith is having a party.....

everybody do the weather dance!

flying this AM getting ready for Eclipse XC in 601xl, what a xc airplane!

Just looked at the NASA map and looks like my strip in East Tennessee, TN66, is dead-center on the path of totality!  Anyone welcome to fly in for the event!
