We have had a small leak coming from the copper ring on the pump that seals the screw in nipple. We have tightened the nut to little effect. We added some Permatex P14 around the copper ring and that helped but still had a small leak. Called Ray and he suggested using a propane torch and annealing the copper ring which we will try. The Aux pump is fine and does not leak. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with these pumps?

I had a leak in the same spot.
I purchased new copper washers and really paid attention to tightening them and am good now.
Seems hard to get wrenches in position to do a smooth tighten job.
Yep, I had the same problem last year when I first ran the pumps. I shined the copper washer on a fine, flat file and then retightened until I was nervous. Hasn’t leaked since.
Thanks for the replies. It seems the washer is the problem and needs to be positioned correctly and the nuts tightened fully.
