Hi people !!!

Did any CH-750 owner with an O-200 engine have weight & balance problems with the battery on the fire wall ???

I believe my 750 has a heavy nose.

Hi Paulo,

Here are the leveled weights for my aircraft, weight included unusable fuel and oil filled to 6 qts. Odyssey pc680 mounted to the firewall.

Front 280, Right rear 285, Left rear 269.

With full flaps I can trim down to 45mph.  It flies fine and I have no problem keeping the nose off the ground after touching down.

In its current CG config, it does take a bit of time to raise the nose on takeoff, but it's still off the ground before my PFD starts registering airspeed (around 32mph).

The o200 is definitely on the heavier side for the airframe, but it has worked well for me for the past 120hrs.

You might double check your stabilizer incidence angle.

Good luck!

Clint

Hello Clint !!!

Thank you very much for the information.

I'm using the same propeller as you (whirlwind). What cruising speed have you achieved ???

Hi Paulo,

On a 70F day, loaded to about 1280lbs at 75% power I get 84mph.  When it's 90F and at 1440lbs  I'm usually down to 79 or 80mph.  I have my 70" whirlwind pitched to 12.6 degrees, getting around 2610rpm at my 50mph climb speed.  I have the smaller cruiser wheels installed, so I might have a slight drag reduction vs the stock STOL tires.  She's no speed demon, but I still absolutely love the plane!  Flying along at 1200agl and 65mph following a winding river at sunset is so much fun!  I can't imagine a better aircraft to do it in.

Hello Clint !!!

Thank you very much for the information.
