I am at the stage of wiring up my panel etc, have the Dynon Skyview system with the EMS 221 module, I intend to use the Can Bus for the main engine sensors. Does anybody know if there is an alternator current output on the Can Bus or would I have to fit a separate shunt and feed that into the EMS?

I am doing the same, using an EMS 221 module to take advantage of the Can bus, and to avoid installing extra sensors.  UL350i in a Cruzer, still in construction stage.

I have a list of all the extra items that CANBUS provides, and it does not include alternator input, so I have installed a shunt to feed the alternator output into the EMS.

Attached is the list I received from Dynon showing all the ouputs that the CANBUS does provide if the EMS221 is used instead of the EMS220
