I'm building a corvair conversion for my 601XL build. A friend of mine offered me a aeroconversions aeroinjector that he never used.

Anyone have experience using the aeroinjector - particularly on a Corvair?  Opinions?

I have read that the aeroinjector requires some fiddly setup and a separate fuel regulator. I had been planning on using a Rotec TBI, but it is hard to ignore a freebie.

I've got hundreds of hours with an AeroInjector on my Jabiru 3300/STOL 750.  However, that's a gravity-feed setup and no regulator required - works great and I really like having that mixture control.  Probably no more difficult to tune than any other option, but you really need to follow the instructions! LOL! BUT, I think you're correct that you will need a regulator IF you have to use a fuel pump in your low-wing.  It's a very popular TBI for the Sonex low-wings with a Jab 3300, but that's gravity-fed from a fuselage/header tank in that set-up.

I've found Sonex/AeroConversions (AeroInjector manufacturer) very helpful with technical support.  I'd send them an email and see what they'd recommend for your setup and then you can decide if you want to go forward with the AeroInjector or not.  I think WW likes the Rotec?
