Currently deployed to Afghanistan. Plan on buying kit in June 2011 once deployment is over as a gift to myself for my 3 deployments, including Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Thanks Ray!  I have been busy with my duties here in Afghanistan and then went on R&R, so hence the delay in my response!  I appreciate your kind offer and will indeed take you up on it!  I am looking forward to buying my kit and starting on it this summer.  I plan on attending the June Rudder weekend which coincides with the fly-in at Zenith Air.  I will also attend Oshkosh in July.  I look forward to meeting you!

    Be safe, I see a 82nd ABN patch. I spent 6 1/2 years in the 82nd ABN.

    I first joined the Ohio NG and then I went on active duty in 1981 with the 82nd ABN 321FA for 6 ½ years. I wonder if we eve cross paths. My son is an Officer in the 101st. He has done on tour in Iraq (15 month). He is currently in Afghanistan as a Battalion S-4 for HHC 1st Brigade.

    Have a save trip home.
