I saw your comment and I'm not sure if we are talking about the same picture.  We are driving in the right lane and I was only a few miles from the airport.  I'm good friends with the local highway patrol and they gave me an escort.  Taking the wings off would have been a big pain...I'm glad I did not need to.  You mentioned draining fuel...not sure what you are talking about.  We just loaded the plane up and drove it to the airport fuel and all.  have a good one.

If I had it to do over again, I don't think I would it any different.  I built my plane to match my flying and situation.  I am more interested in the fuel and electrical lines having the least amount of connection than I was ease of removing the wing.  I could not picture a reasonable situation where I would need to remove the wings..and if I did, I would unhook the fuel line at the tank and cut/splice the wires.  Just because this is what I did, does not mean there is not a better or more conveniant way to do it which would fit your needs.  If you have the time and energy, and think you would like to quick diconnect your wing...go for it.  I don't really see any downside.   With that said, if you are planning on folding your wings after every flight or even on a regular basis for storage, I think this opens up significant oportunity for trouble....IMHO.

You noticed my paint scheme.  I think I still have a print out of a photo of OBS around here someplace.  I'm an MNR brat and have always like the PAS paint scheme.  Yellow and black is the most visible colour combination.

I'm scratch building 6 ch750's with my friends here in Lethbridge..... we've noticed your seats in the pictures & they look very nice!.... did you upholster them yourself  or have them done @ a localshop?....what type of fabric/foam  did you use? we very much appreciate any info you could provide on these.  Thank you.  Guy.

Hi Conrad... Thank you for the info on your seats... I will call them & see what kind of price i can get.... I did purchase the hi-tech foam which I think your referring to as well so I think i'm ok in that regard.... If you do make it out west next summer & you find yourself near southern Alberta please give me a call or send me a e-mail prior to your trip.... we'd love to see your plane & exchange idea's etc.... we have a very active flying club here & have fly-in's throughout the summer, I hope to have my plane in the air sometime next summer as well.  Thanks again.  Guy.
