Building and Flying Info / Your Profession / Other Background Info
Obtained my private pilot certificate on Sept 11, 1964, while on active duty in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Hill AFB, UT. I have a total of about 3,000 hours as PIC. Other interests are amateur radio, bicycle touring, and sailing. I retired in 2003, and spent much of my career in the financial services industry.
In December, 2016, I took the Rainbow Aviation Services LSA Repairman-Inspection course and now have my FAA LSA Repairman-Inspection certificate for my Zodiac.
Thanks so much for the reply. Your story sounds much like mine. I have a Private rating but let it lapse and will use my California drivers license to get a recertification in the sport pilot category. I have many questions so I appreciate the links and will likely be in touch.
Thanks again...

Stan, Jay Meinen, mentioned you were familiar with the slsa to elsa conversion. I would appreciate any information on the process also. My personal email is jimh5000@prodigy.net.
