Mr Rawls  I talked to you once before about the fuel pump location.  I still havent installed them butg i saw a Ran 19 with them in stalled on the firewall.  I liked the installation.  I wanted to ask you how you did the fitting for your cowling.  I cant find anyones vidoes are comments on installing the cowling.  I wanted to use Skybolt  fasteners on the cowl.  I was told I might have to use an extension to move the prop out so it would clear the cowling.  Was this a problem for you?

Mr Rawls  I talked to Jan about building  box under the fusalage and putting the pumps and the filters there.  I saw a 701 with a box that ran his fuel lines across the bottom and up the fire wall.  I dint know if putting the pumps and filters there would be a good idea or not.  On the Viking site I saw a Rans-19 and he left the low pressure filters off and used the filter in the fuel tank and the high pressure filter in line.  About the cowl I just didnt know where to start cutting.  The vidoe  on the Rand 19 shows a little but I sure dont want to mess the cowl up.  Thanks and I will keep looking for anyone that has done a 601xl cowl

Hi Brad, I upgraded my pumps to Viking's 'in-tank' pumps, so these I have here are surplus.  Whilst I'm out today, I'll ask the Post Office here, the cost of postage to CA - just for curiosity.  I'll then msg you.  I assume they are compatible to the 110.

We've been to Irvine! Have a Sis in Law lives in San Clemente.

    Cheers John
