We're nearly ready for our next big adventure at "AirVenture!  We hope you can join us!

Here is a summary of some of the planned Zenith activities. 

Zenith Builder Dinner and Banquet: Organized expertly once again by Zenith builder and Oshkosh resident Joe Scheibinger , we're already looking forward to another great evening:

It's time to make plans to attend the Zenith Builder's Banquet for 2013.

There has been a big change for this year's Zenith Builders Banquet. We outgrew our previous locations so we moved it this year to the Elks Lodge in Oshkosh. We have very comfortable seating for over 250 people, our own private bar, and award winning food. The banquet will be held on Thursday, August 1st. The bar will open at 5:30 and dinner starts at 7:30. The price of the ticket has been reduced from years past to $18 per person. On the menu this year will be the Elks Lodge specialty, Pineapple Rum Glazed Ham and Broasted Chicken with all the trimmings. There will be a very special surprise dessert so make sure you bring your camera, and don't forget the great door prizes!
Pre-convention Banquet Tickets Available: The banquet will be held at the Elks Lodge, 175 Fernau Ave, Oshkosh, WI. The Lodge is very easy to find. There will be maps and tickets available at the Zenith display just like in previous years. If you would like your tickets sent to you along with the map, there are two ways to receive your tickets. You can mail a check for $18 per person to Joe Scheibinger, Zenith Banquet, 2809 Scenic Drive, Oshkosh, WI 54904, or you can use PayPal and send the money to backstagelive@gmail.com. Your tickets will be sent in the mail. Buying advance tickets helps the Zenith staff save time and sell airplanes, and it also gives us a better way to estimate the number of people attending.

Zenith Display:  Come see us (and the airplanes!) in our regular location in the North Aircraft Display area #641.  In addition to our Zenith CH 650 and CH 750 STOL and new CRUZER factory demo planes, we'll have a number of engines on display.

Forum Schedule:  We have busy Forum Schedule where we'll be sharing information on our light aircraft designs, kit construction, floats. and more.  Here's the current Schedule of Forums. (Check the official program as the schedule is subject to change).

"Engine Day" at the Zenith Booth:  Thursday, August 1, starting at 10 am.  This will be our second official "engine day" at AirVenture - to allow you to see the many different available engines to power your Zenith.  We've invited all engine manufacturers to participate and to show  their engines, and to allow you to speak directly with the manufacturer (or their representative) to ask technical questions about installing and operating their engine in the Zenith (as display space will be somewhat limited, we're concentrating on engines for our two-seaters - 65 to 150 hp:STOL CH 701, and the Zenith CH 650 / CH 750 aircraft).   Zenith is one of few kit aircraft manufacturers to offer many engine choices to builders, and dozens of different engine types can be found powering Zeniths around the world.  New engines and new technology have the potential to increase efficiency and reliability, while also lowering costs and complexity.  We're hosting this event to allow builders to make the best informed choice in selecting an engine to power their light aircraft, and to promote and encourage new power technology. View video clip from last year.

The EAA Homebuilders Hangar will house the EAA staff Zenith STOL CH 750 kit project (which is nearing completion), and will also be the site of the Homebuilts in Review seminar on the STOL CH 750 kit project, presented by EAA's Chad Jensen and Zenith's Sebastien Heintz.  The EAA Homebuilders Hangar is located in the old NASA building (in the Homebuilt Area).  As many of you may also remember, a group of teenagers also worked on assembling a Zenith kit inside the Homebuilders Hangar last year at AirVenture.  The Aviators by Design group will be back this year with their Zenith project onsite and they look forward to meeting with you and talking about their project (hint: they are also fundraising for an engine to power their kit airplane!)
