Still working on my scratch built spar. All fittings and stiffeners are installed, all holes are drilled to the proper size.

Thanks Mike, I had heard the name Cleveland tool before, decided to take a look on your advice. I had no idea they are located just down the road (2 hours), right along the way to my parents home! I'll have to stop by some time. Thanks!

thanks clint, my project has so far been making the tools necessary to scratch build, sheet metal brake, flanging dies, etc.
As well as collecting all of the tools i did not have. my plan is to be able to order the sheet metal and be able to complete the work at a steady pace.
regarding the solid rivets, have a look at the Cleveland tools web site and the back riveting sets .
cheers Mike

Hi Mike,  I try to schedule one day on the weekend and about four hours during the week.  This is highly variable due to family and work.  I actually started on the project about a year ago, got the rudder, slats, and flaperons done last winter.  The stab and elevator were completed in the spring.  I did not get into the workshop very much this summer, my family and I enjoy outdoor activities when the weather is nice, I did manage to get all my wing ribs fabricated.  If work does not get in my way, I hope to get the wing skeletons complete and one skinned before summer.  Just have to overcome my fear of solid riveting now.  How is your project going?  I really enjoy seeing the progress of other builders on the forums.  Seasons Greatings to you!    Clint

seasons greetings Clint, you are making rapid progress since your first post, how long do you spend each week on building?
Mike
