Congratulations Tom, You'll find a lot of answers and ideas on the forum section. When I first got access to this site, I must have spent at least 20 hours reading the forum and blog posts on the first weekend. I'm also looking forward to seeing your kit to see how they assembled a few things on the fuselage.
Welcome to the group, I'm sure you will find this site helpful during your build. I have a Rotax installed in my 750 and feel it is an ideal engine for this plane. I like the UL engines but feel there are new and would prefer a proven engine. Take a look at the new fuel injected engine Rotax now has available. This is my first attempt at building an airplane and I ended up building the 750 without any outside help. I have learned a lot of valuable lessons over the past year and a half, so if I can be of any help just let me know. Your welcome to stop by if you like. Your comment to me ended in my spam folder so don't get upset if I don't answer your questions in a timely manner. I'll add you to my friends list. Have fun
Thanks for the friend request. I am building from plans and currently have the rudder completed and have most of the parts fabricated for the rest of the tail. Since you are building from a kit I'm sure that you will pass my progress quickly. I'm glad to have another builder near by and hope to be able to pick your brain in the future.
Thanks for the friend request. We have a used o200, zenith mount and cowl. We may get the baffle metal from zenith. that is the extent of our experience so far. I learned at OSH that some, if not all, C150 exhaust will not fit under the Zenith cowl without significant and somewhat unsightly fiberglass modification.
Thanks for the note...I had a rotax 912. I put about 350 hours on her from 2006 to 2009 and then sold her. My only engine issue I ever experienced was an ignition module failure. 701 flew as advertised and I enjoyed test flying, stol, and crosswind capabilities. I have plans to the cozy mk iv...but may build a 750 first.

Tom - sorry for the slow response. I'm putting a Rotax 912 in. Just got the firewall foreward kit the other day. Making slow but steady progress.
