I thought I had left flying and the dreams of building an airplane behind me when my youngest brother, an Air Force special ops helo pilot, infected me with his enthusiasm while on his tenth combat deployment. He returned from Afghanistan last spring and exactly seven days later we were building our rudder in Mexico, Missouri! Now, we are living the dream!

Welcome to the forum. I completed my 750 with a Rotax 2 years ago. Have the plane at Suburban Airport in Laurel. Tom Cline, just involved in a plane crash at Ft Meade this past weekend, is working on a 750 in same hangar with me. If you need anything or want to look at completed or partial done 750 let me know.

Hi William.  I bought the Data Logger from Viking.  It's fun and logs a lot.  Still learning it.

I initially pitched my prop at 19 degrees.  Increasing in 1 degree increments for testing, currenlty at 22 degrees for next test.  Max speed on previous engine was 114mph.  Initial speed on V130 was 126mph at 19 degrees pitch.  Max speed thus far was 152mph at 21 degrees pitch.  I don't think I'll go any faster, even though the airplane/engine are capable.  Too close to Vne in level flight.  I have a modified XL that I built and have about 200 hours on.  See January 2015 issue of Experimenter for pictures.
