Jabiru 3300 starter problem ?!

HiHo,A new problem occurred these days. The starter motor turns freely (powerfully), but the gear does not engage? The battery is new and fully charged (because I initially thought it was old and weak). I removed the starter and cleaned the gearbox (pictures). Everything moves easily and nothing is stuck. radio interference suppression J 3300

Hello I have exchanged my engine for the Gen 4.0 Jabiru 3300. The engine runs great, all temperatures in the normal range and enough power.BUT, the engine interferes with the radio terribly.On the ground with idle speed it is still OK, with engine off only on battery super !But at higher speeds and travel speed of 2500rpm, the tower and other aircraft can no longer understand me. Jabiru Regulator ?

Hello,to all other problems it seems that the generator produced not voltage to the batterie.First thing to check is the regulator. (picture).In and out is clear to so far, but what are the green and yellow wires good for ?What does the green one, a 12V Lamp or a LED ?What does the yellow one, the actual currant in V from the generator ?Is there any V on the yellow one if the engine is off ?please let me know.Thank you all.Steffen…See More

Checking the Bing 94 CV for 3300

Hiho,as I wrote in the "3300 low power" thread we are continuing to troubleshoot the low RPM.It has already shown that obviously a rather small main jet (245) was installed. I will get a selection of nozzles, especially the 255 default nozzle, as well as 260, 265 and 270 to try.Someone told me the nozzle needle also comes in two versions, one with many mounting grooves on top and one (eco?) with only one mounting groove. 3300 low power ?

HiHo,I suspect that my Jabiru 3300 motor is underpowered because it does not get up to the required RPM when stationary on the ground. I reach a maximum of 2100 rpm.It has no measurable effect when using different propellers from the same manufacturer and identical length (Helix). I have tried propellers with 10, 11 and 12 degrees pitch and always the same effect, never more than 2200 rpm when standing on the ground.Today I removed the air filter and the supply air now comes directly into the…See More
