After building the elevator skeleton and adding the rear skins. I checked that all appeared straight and square. I added the nose skins, checked their position and taped them in place. Starting in the center and working towards the outside, I drilled the nose skins along the spar, top and bottom. To my horror, the nose skin had " walked" away from the end tip ribs leaving a 3/16 th inch gap. WTH!?! They were tight when I started! Looks like I'll be ordering new elevator nose skins tomorrow. :/

WOW...almost happened to me but I was lucky...I caught mine in time and taped the bejeebers out of both sides after that scare ...the couple of pieces of duct tape shown on the HBH videos don't cut it IMHO.
