The 701 would fit my mission here pretty well. I anticipate a fair amount of short/unimproved field flying here. Also likely a fair amount of it the mountains around here. 110 hp is about the minimum I'd like to have.
Have you followed the directives for flywheel, centering bushings, etc. for the engine?
You list it as sold as is in all caps. Are there some issues to address or anticipate?

Nothing that was stated in the listing.
the nose bungee will need to be changed soon though.
When I purchased it I sent the gearbox back to be rebuilt by Jan.
I replaced the torsion dampeners last year. I always use a centering bushing as recommended by Jan.
it’s a fun plane to fly.it is located at KGA2 Peach State Aerodrome in Williamson Ga

Thanks for the update. I may be near you next month. Planning to come down and look at a Rotax 914 for another possible direction. It is in Bessemer AL I think. That is a 601XL-B that is mostly complete but no engine or FWF.
The 701 is not nearly as fast but probably better suited to what I want to do.
What is the useful load with the Viking engine?
