Ok, I know that I’m going to be slammed for not paying close attention to my plans and drawings but I have a question about the bottom front rib on my 701 rudder.

i purchased the entire SCRATCH built rudder from someone who had it complete and held together with Clecos. The only thing left was primer/seal and rivet. I did go over everything checking my plans and manual prior to riveting and all looked perfect. Well I missed seeing the step for checking that the bottom leading rib was 90 degrees to the spar. I discovered that the rib tip is approximately 3/16” low from a true 90 degrees. So would this be a critical enough to warrant drilling out a bunch of rivets and correcting?

Bob, from a functional or safety perspective, no. But if it is bugging you every time you look at it...
