Hello,  New to the forum and to Zenith ownership.  I bought a flying 701 from the original builder and am in the process of putting in a interior and other minor changes.  Anyone have a "Y" control stick or a center stick with the "Y" cutoff that they would like to sell.

Does anyone know how long of a throttle cable it takes to go from the pilots side to the throttle arm on an 0-200 with the old style Zenith mount ?  My Measuring (string) comes in about 55+ inches.

I am also looking for an original (hinge type) pilots side door.

I apologize for jumping right in asking for stuff before I have introduced myself to the forum but I am some what computer challenged.  I am retired Rotary Wing Pilot (35 + years) with some fixed wing along the way.  The rotary wing part should explain the computer challenge !!!  The reason I chose the 701 is I think its slow enough I can keep up with it.

I've been out of flying for a number of years and worked as a forester in N.E. Washington.  Upon retirement from that I went back to the local community College and acquired an A&P license thinking I was going to build an airplane.  Interesting Time, 45 years older than the students and 20 years older than the instructors.  I just told them I was the janitor !!   I think I will be content to just fly and tinker.and enjoy the beauty.

Thank you and I look forward to being part of the Zenith Family.

I have a recently scratch built 701 with an O200 on an old mount. When I go to the airport tomorrow, I will measure the throttle cable & let you know. I have only one throttle on the left side with a center Y stick. You could just buy the Y stick from Zenith. You should register the plane with them anyway.

Thanks Ivan,  sorry to take so long to get back to you.  I've a bit of a problem with the forum protocol and my internet. I think I have it taken care of.

Roger,

If it turns out that you need a 48" cable, I purchaed one for my 701, but went to dual throttles ... so:

I also have a new/unused ACS Products A-800BL04800 48" (1032) throttle cable assembly (black knob).  $79.75 plus shipping @ Aircraft Spruce ... Will sell for $50 including shipping (USA)

Thanks

I have the stick , and probably any part you would need, I am scraping out one of my {3} 701's..BOB JONES 907-892-7369   bobnpat@mtaonline.net

Hi Bob, will give you a call  tomorrow. Monday, 10/17

Thank you

Bob,

you mention scrapping out one of your 701's and I am curious what you have? Did the plane get damaged on a landing or what is the reason.

I ask because I am looking for a set of slats for a 701 to do some experimentation among some other parts to possibly modify including elevator/horizontal stab.

What do you have that you are looking to sell and what do you want for it?

thanks

Lonny Kirk

Hi Roger

I have an original ZAC Y control stick I would sell if you're still looking. It was in my plane about 350 hours before I went to 2 sticks. Haven't looked at it in a while but think it's in nice shape

When I went through A&P class, I was one of two engineers in a class full of production people. That also was interesting.
