I just hung the engine and mounted the coolant radiator using the brackets supplied in he Zenith FWF Kit. Straightforward, but after stepping back and looking, the radiator is crooked. It’s not vertically aligned with the nose strut; the top is cocked off towards the pilot side. Double checked the instructions and watched the install video again from Homebuilt Help and I’ve got the correct brackets installed properly. Anyone else run into this? I really don’t want to start bending and twisting brackets but will if I have to. I’ll keep trying to post a picture, this website is fussy about attachements recently.

So I placed the lower cowl as supplied with the FWF kit up against the aircraft to see if the crooked radiator is a problem, and, it’s not. The Rotax 912 engine is not aligned with the aircraft centerline, and the radiator is crooked- and canted a bit- but apparently, that’s all as designed. Huh. Go figure.
