I have a 327 too

It picks up the signal wirelessly

Dave

senses gtx 327 with the skyguards "sniffer antenna"

Yes they are in and out
I have owned one for about 3 years
Company is in Texas, Don Houtz, I just contacted him about the units to confirm they are the latest
Updated versions. He got right back to me via email. I have had my unit back to him for an update and he provides excellent customer service.
You should be able to download installation instructions off his website.
From what I was told the seller had 15 in a fleet of C150’s and when the Skyguard never got approved for certified aircraft he pulled them all out of the aircraft he owned.
Mine is scheduled for ups delivery Monday.
If you want to wait till I get mine, of course they may be gone by than.

I believe they are 2030 compliant, the one I purchased 3 years ago was, but not for certified aircraft, experimental only.
2020

Remember, I am not affiliated with the seller and you purchase this at your own risk!

Well, you've never lied to me before :-)

I ordered mine, along w/the antennas.  Thanks for the heads up on this!

Dale

Did Don tell you or send you the paperwork that Skyguard meet the FAR 91. 225 requirements of TSO–C166b or TSO–C154c AND the requirements listed in FAR 91.227?  If so you’ve got a real bargain.  If not, you’re still not equipped to operate in airspace requiring ADS-B.

As I said above, I contacted Don at Skyguard and he confirmed they are the units that are

legal for experimental.

I have owned one for three years, and I made this purchase to have a backup.

also I have stated I am not affiliated with the seller and any purchaser must accept

responsibility for their purchase.

I bought two and wanted to share the information for the benefit of the group.

Dave

Wow , the drama has arrived at our website now, I use my unit without any government protestation up my experimental  aircraft

The downloadable documents are all you need or spend more elsewhere in your experimental aircraft’

Hi Chris

its a legitimate question, the early models of Skyguard were not able to comply

with the newer regs. Skyguard was offering trade ins and mods for some of the units.

the later units were fully compliant for experimentals as you and I have in our aircraft

i sent Don an email with photos of the units and their serial numbers and he informed me they were good to go.

I decided it was worth taking a chance.
