I'm looking for a good source of a "reasonable" angle drill and a torque wrench that works in inch-pounds. Has anyone used the 90 or 45 degree attachment that you can get to attach to your regular air drill? Which is best and does it work, or should I suck it up and buy a complete angle drill?

Dr. Olds III;
I purchased an angle drill kit from aircraft spruce (aircraftspruce.com). I found it satisfactory for the tight spots building a ch-701. It has several drill sizes and lenghts and replacement bits are also available from aircraft spruce. It attaches to the chuck on your portable or corded drill. Bill Proctor
Bill,

Thanks for the response, I'll call them. I seem to be spending half a fortune on kit parts and the other on tools! I'm certainly OK with that, but my wife takes a dim view.

Bill,

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll have another bill at Aircraft Spruce! What is the status of your 701?

Ed
Hi Ed,

I have both the ACS angle drill attachment and an air powered angle drill. I don't use the ACS angle drill any more.

I will try to attach a picture of the air powered drill.... It is/was available on Ebay, Store Name: TOOLSEZ

I bought an inch-lb torque wrench from Harbour Freight and test it annually.

Tommy,

Thanks so much for the response and the picture. That helps a whole bunch. I was able to borrow a torque wrench from one of my buddies at the airport, so that is a savings.

Ed
Oops...

I meant to include, I will sell my ACS angle drill for 1/2 what I paid for it.

Anyone interested let me know. Shipping is extra.
