AOPA has a link on their site to a tool called "Doctor Finder" that lists doctors in your area who are willing to do BasicMed physicals.

I entered my zip code into the Doctor Finder, and it gave me a list of doctors. Picked the first one on the list, and got my physical. When I got home I took the online course, and now I'm good!
Previously, I'd found it utterly impossible to find a doctor who was willing to sign off on this, despite being in excellent health and passing (and paying for) batteries of tests more appropriate for NASA astronauts.
Kudos to AOPA for setting this up. IMHO, this alone makes AOPA worth joining.

Hi Patrick, thank you for sharing the website. Last week, I completed my first BasicMed. I went to my local small town doctors office a few miles away and requested a flight physical. I took my paper work that I downloaded and explained it to the doc. In my particular encounter here in east Tenn., the doc simply gave me a quick physical and I was on my way with the signed paperwork with not many questions asked. I got home and completed the test online and printed my little wallet card thingy.
This evening out of curiosity , I went to the website you linked and it led me to doctors about 45 and over miles away. That's not to far away but it could be much closer if we check with our local doc's first.
I would definitely check my local doc's first, even if they don't show up on AOPA's site.
What little wallet thingy? I got my Basic Med a year or so ago and I missed the wallet card part. I will have to check later this evening if it is too late to print one out.
I also went to my local doctor for my Basic Med. I dropped off the paperwork with an explanation at his office and asked that he contact me if he would do the Basic Med. He did contact me and I made the appointment.
It's a print out that you cut out and put in your wallet, It shows your Cert # and says that you completed the test.
