Just to give an idea of where I am at in the 601 building process, I have completed the main gear, nose gear, rudder, horizontal stabilizer, and elevator. I am in the process of attaching the 5 strand wire bundle to the servo for the elevator trim tab. Since there are two different lengths of 5 strand wire in the quick build kit, I have been looking at the drawings and builders manuals to find anything about the wiring, such as a wiring diagram, how to run the wiring from the tail to the cockpit panel, etc. And I just can not find anything. Maybe I am missing something or are we just supposed to figure this out ourselves. I would appreciate any help as I am very frustrated spending so much time looking at the builders manual and drawings. Thanks, Sincerely, Charles Thie

You miserable wretch... your Mexican is worse than your English..... (from the movie Tombstone).

The proper way to express that sentiment is :"We don nid no es-tinkin wire diagrams."

As you were.

The longer wire will be needed to get from the elevator trim to the stick or the panel depending on your choice of control device. If you have any excess (including a service loop), keep it handy because you might use on the aileron circuit. That wire needs to be interrupted by a five pin plug (a CB mic jack from Radio Shack works well for that) at the wing root for assembly / disassembly.

I have one such plug at the wing root for the aileron trim cable and another on top of the stab, under the rudder fairing for the elevator trim cable. On that subject run wires in counduit wherever it is practical and particularly where they would be hard to get at later. Wires can be pulled thorugh a conduit and don't chafe much inside there.

Its best to not let the wire leading from the panel to the tail to touch any sharp edges. Wrap with wire wrap, run inside plastic tubing, use offset tie-wraps, etc. Also make sure you do not have alot of slack. I think Ray Allen suggest a 1/2" travel side-to-side. Best of luck
