RESOLVED 10/6/2022

Update - factory contacted me and we worked through the missing parts and bracket.

---------------

Does anyone have the dimensions and photo of the rocket mounting bracket #33 in the installation manual for the BRS 1350? It may be common to other systems also.

I will need to fabricate this part, but not sure of the material and dimensions.

I cannot get BRS to return my emails and calls and I doubt they sell this part from their supplier. Thanks.

Here are some photo's of how I did mine.  It was a long time ago, but as I recall the piece you're asking about was about 1/8" to 3/16" thick.  I mounted it in a different location, and also had to bend it somewhat as well as fabricate a couple other pieces for the install.  The holes in the gold "pan" should give you the dimensions of the matching holes in your piece if you choose to go that route.

Dealing with BRS wasn't easy.  I wasn't getting anywhere with them via phone or email.  Fortunately at that time my home airfield was also THEIR home airfield (KSGS).  I finally called them on the phone while I was standing in their own parking lot - got nowhere - and then said, "I'm in your parking lot right now.  I'll be there in 10 seconds."  They were quite flustered, but I got my previously paid for merchandise right then and there.

Thanks, Pat!

Perfect pics. Just what I needed. Mine is mounted in the rear baggage area due to a header tank. I may remove that and move this up there too.

Thanks again and appreciate your time!

Steve

Why wouldn't they have better customer service? This is really disappointing to hear.

It was a dozen years ago, and word around the airport was that they’d gotten a large military contract.  Would be interesting to hear from a more recent customer.

They must not have live customer service employees and more folks in the shop packing/repacking and handling the manufacturing side. Somewhere along the line, they must have decided that it was better for them to just focus on production and less on real-time customer issues. My assumption is that they are focused on their Cirrus and other big contracts.

If you leave a voicemail, they will eventually get back to you. And once you make a purchase, you then have a point of contact at least. The average turn-around of emails and calls for me was between 1-3 days. A little longer with the re-pack shop but they always responded on both sides of the factory. Nothing I'm doing is an emergency, per se, and I now operate on homebuilders' time anyway (i.e., the engine is now at ~5 mos., GRT 6000 EIS took 4 mos., Lemke seats are at 4 mos., and won't arrive until Feb 2023, plus others).
