Just got my 601XLB back in the air and my newest issue is the latch on the passenger side will not release.  I need to stick a screwdriver into the slot I cut and move the latch just a bit more.  My guess is the cable has stretched a bit.  Any one else have this issue and if so what was the simple fix?

I might try to put a fishing weight (split sinker} to take up the slack.  Have not looked deep into a fix yet other that to see what it will take to drill out the rivets along the canopy.

Hey Glen, glad to hear you've got your plane flying again.  I think taking the inside covers off of the canopy frame is the thing to do.  The adjusters might give you enought that it'll work.  I'd just take the passenger side cover off if that's the side where there's a problem.  If you drill out the rivets you might want to use a piece of metal to guard the plexi in case you slip.

Hi Dan.  Great to hear from you.  What is the status on your plane?  I have been working 2 jobs and have lots of other issues with life going on and am really busy so have not been following much on the forum here.

I plan to review the photos I took when I built the canopy and go from there.  Just a real pain drilling out more rivets.
