I cannot answer your rudder horn question. BUT I think I could build three CH750 kits in the time it takes to build one CH701. The CNC match hole drilling and quality of parts / instruction photo guides are just that much better. Building is fun and the CH750 kit is simply fun to build.

Hi Robin,

Rudders on the two planes are definitely different. A 701 rudder would not work on a 750. One comment on building a 701 vs a 750 Cruzer, which I have been involved in both, the plans and photo manual for the 701 have been around and revised many times, so in my opinion are more complete with less snags than Cruzer plans and manual. The Cruzer information is a mixture of Cruzer information and 750 STOL, but may have been updated over the last couple years, since our RAA Chapter built a Cruzer.

Don’t be so quick to disregard the 701, if the excellent short field performance on 100hp is what you are after the 701 is hands down the best choice. Roger just posted a video last week revealing the plans for 2022 involve a revamp of the 701 to a fully matched hole kit. So with the current lead time on shipping kits you could get the 701 with the ease of building of the modern kits.
