Are there any CH750 builders with info to share about building their aircraft? I would love to know how good the kit is and how it compares with the 701 kit.

I started building the 750 Dec 5th by going to the rudder school. I took home with me the wing and tail kits and two weeks later ordered the entire kit along with the finsh kit. I am almost done with wings and tail and for me it has been quite simple. With 90% of the holes predrilled, all you have to do is line them up and open/debur the holes and rivot. All in all, I have around 85 hours so far as I have been keeping a log book. This is my first aircraft to build, so I can't compare it to any other kits. I have been told that with Zeniths new metal cutting machine, the parts are much more builder friendly with the 750. Feel free to contact me directly for more info. I take delivery on the remainder of my kit Feb 5th.
Thanks Mike,
Good luck with the build. I'll check in on your progress from time to time.

dear stefan wagener,

i would like to ask, about the cortec primer.

i received vc 373 cortec primer with our ch750 airplane kit. when my friend and i mix the cortec primer with thinner, we sprayed it to our rudder. but the colour is clear and the tin said wash it with soak and water.

i am curious about this, as i learned, primer such as zinc chromate primer is in greenish or yellowish colour. so, is this cortec primer is the same function as zinc chromate without the green colour? or is this cortec primer is same like allodine, that is to protect internal structure of the aluminum part?

thanks.

are you a ch750 builder too?

Hi Zihad,

No, I'm not building anything at the moment. I may build another aircraft in a couple of years time when I retire. Possibly another 701 or maybe a 750 if there's an engine available to make it perform as well as the 701.

Regards,

Shay.
