How far should the rudder pedal attachment bar rise up off of the lower bearing block when the airplane is resting on the gear? I'm trying to adjust the compression clamps. The instructions say it's normal for the pucks to bulge out between the spacers, but for the life of me I can't get them compressed any more and yet I see no bulging. My bar rises about 1/2" when plane is resting on the gear.
Thanks everyone!

Not sure where the concept of "bulging out" came from but honestly that makes no sense. Those pucks are as hard as hockey pucks and there is no way they are "bulging out". You got some bad info on that concept .
The bulging out comment is on page 3 of the installation instructions that were sent by Zenith along with the puck kit. Perhaps they were written when they used a different kind of puck?
