Thanks for responding, i have that info it is the engine height relative to the firewall .

I think you are having trouble getting a response because the question may be unclear, I know it was to me.I think it is going to depend on the engine / cowl used, I beleive my plans showed the bed mount dimensions for the rotax 912 and since I am mounting a corvair I had to find the dimensions for the 912 engine to find it's thrust line on the airframe and then extrapolate the corvair dimensions and find the best compromise so it would still fit in the cowling where I thought it needed to be positioned and from there build the mount from that mock up. It is not exactly the same as the rotax.

Yes thanks for your reply, i looked at a lot of pictures of the 701 . Seam to me there is a bit of a range ,i am making my own cowl ,as i did for my other plane . Have almost finished welding up mount.
