Engine angle

I mounted my Corvair engine mount and engine but it looks as if it pitches forward a great deal. Can someone tell me how the engine level is to the level of the cabin frame. In other words if the cabin frame is level what if the angle of the engine? Or a picture from the side showing the engine level in relationship to the cabin. Thanks in advance.

Good Question.   

I bought a partially completed Cruzer with the Corvair 3.0L engine and my engine is 2 degrees "nose low" relative of the prop plate to the top "plane" of the aft fuse.  In other words, it is not 90 degrees it is 92 degrees. I also checked the firewall to make sure it is true to the plans and it is.   BUT I have not studied the planes enough to see if this is correct or not.  I will try to study the plans and of course if all else fails, the standard "go to" answer will be to ask Roger.

Larry,

I did not see any reference in my set of drawings that relates the prop disc angle as it relates to the airframe level reference.  But I talked to Roger, He said the engine should be level up to a half degree nose down from level.  The drawings show the tube at the top of cabin frame that runs above the doors should be used to determine level for reference.   He said this can be found in the section describing the installation of an O200.  Hope others can comment to add to what I learned.
