I have about 40 tach hours on my 601 XL. It is electrically dependant (no engine mounted pump) so I have dual facet pumps. Pulled the cowl this weekend and noticed a blue stain on the side of the pump. After close inspection it was evident the leak was from the pump itself. It was slowly seeping out of the case.

The engine ran fine with full fuel pressure. I ran the pump but could not see a sign of it leaking but it clearly had.

Ordered a new one and will chalk it up to infant mortality.

Pulling the cowl used to be a major ordeal but I've gotten good at it so I pull it frequently. Anything you can do to make this easier will help encourage routine inspections.

Looks more like the fitting, not the pump.
Nope. I tore the pump apart and it clearly had an internal leak.

There's another post on here where I posted pics of it.
