Good morning/evening Zenith members. Has anyone out there in 'HDS Land' successfully designed, modified and flight tested Flaps on the HDS ?. I understand there have been discussions about this subject but has anyone actually done it ? Regards Allen B

Is the existing center wing section large enough to put effective flaps there??
Afternoon Nathan and thank you for your reply. I have been working on the project since June and hope to be flying again around January. The flaps I am building extend well outside the centre wing section and further hope they will lower the stall speed by 5 knots. Do you fly a HDS ?. What country are you based in ? Regards. Allen
The HDS stall speed is so low you really don't need flaps. I fly out of a 1500' strip here in Texas and have gobs more runway than I need.
