What? Why? Dang! It’s a great, lightweight, affordable little radio with built in VoX intercom and I discovered today they’ve been discontinued. I bought one new five years ago for $750 from Spruce.  I was at 1,000 agl yesterday chatting with another aircraft in the pattern of an airport 85 miles away.  All I can say is I’m glad I bought mine when I did and I feel for anyone looking for one for their new build. They are perfect for a two-place experimental aircraft.  Closest thing Spruce offers now is the Becker and it’s priced at $1,200.

Mines been perfect for 6 years. No complaints.

The MGL remote unit with the head is the next best price at $995 and it also includes a two place intercom.
