Has anyone found out if the aircraft in question had regular hinges, or the sheet metal hinges?

Another thing I would be curious about is whether or not the aircraft involved had aileron trim.
The trim servo, push rod and trim tab would add weight exactly where you would not want it. I realize that the added weight would be very small, but since the aileron itself is very light the weight added would be a fairly high % of the total. Hope Zenith comes up with a fix pretty quick, my 601XL is not quite completed but I would like to have it completed this fall and would like to have the bugs worked out before then.
