Going from 582 to 912 on 701

Hey all ... I was looking for some information that I cant seem to find

I was speaking with someone regarding an older 701 undergoing the upgrade to a 912 from the 582 and they had mentioned that in order to do this upgrade a few modifications were needed on an OLDER CH701 frame

Does anyone know what needs to be reinforced, if anything

I would think so- I recommend you call Zenith early Monday morning when they open and ask to talk to Roger about this.  He’s always in demand so it may take a couple days to get to him but keep trying. Have the aircraft serial number (from the Zenith plans) ready, he’ll likely need it. Are you doing a custom mount or using the Zenith FWF package for the 912?

I was looking at one that was in process of fitting the 912 but was never finished... when I asked someone about it they said they wouldn't fly it because they didn't think it safe without the additional support
