I have the Zenith supplied FWF, a Rotax 912 ULS, with Zenith provided cowling, radiator, oil cooler, etc.

Today while waiting for takeoff my CHT was rising. Has anyone devised additional vents or baffling to keep the cylinders cooler?

This does happen at warm up with mine also, but as soon as I point it into the wind and give her the Juice , this all goes away due to the ram air affect of flying. I live in New Mexico and Its gets hot as hell down here

Thanks for your response. My coolant temperature (see SB-912-068) was very near 248 F and I want to modify the air cooling to get this temperature lower when I am forced to wait for takeoff.

I cut out additional openings in the cowling and my problem is resolved.   PXL_20240404_152109029.jpg

Those openings look cool . (That is there intention, HA HA)
