Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
I just took a 600NM trip from Anacortes to Sandpoint Idaho and back to demo to a prospective Zenith/Viking customer who got scared by buying/flying a poorly rigged 701 and needed to see what a 750/130 combo flew like. I dropped by and took him for a flight and Roger sent me a nice t-shirt as thanks!

You have to really trust an engine to go that far over the mountains!

I know what you mean about the Mountains. I left Spokane at 0600 and headed East over crocodile and pygmy infested Mountains as I was flying over White Fish and then on to OSH. At that time I had 42 hrs on the plane. Was a 1400 mile trip each way 30 MPH wind on the tail there and 30 MPH on the nose coming home. I think I saw a YUGO pass me on the road on the way home at one point I had 48 MPH over the ground. I decided to land and wait for calmer winds. The first 2 airports showed 30 knt cross winds then one with 30 knts strait down the runway.
138 hrs now and still grinning.
