Our EAA chapter received an incomplete STOL CH 701 project donation that we would like sell.  The project was originally located in southern California.  The project’s materials were divided between a hangar and the owner’s home workshop.  The owner’s home and shop burned during one of the many wildfires that frequent that part of the country.  What he donated are the parts that were in the hangar that was not impacted by the fire.  Broadly, what was lost was the empennage, most of the wing parts and much of the aft fuselage parts.  What we do have are the original plans, an updated set of plans both for SN 7-4406, and 138 line items of STOL CH 701 parts.  We have listed each part number, the quantity of that part on hand for that part number on an available spreadsheet.  Also for a point of reference, we listed the current Zenith price for those parts on the spreadsheet.  Some of the more expensive parts included are the prefabricate main wing spars (L&R), the main landing gear spring, most of the landing gear and control system steel parts (power coated yellow), the plexi windshield, the prefabricate control cables, and forward cabin area aluminum sheet parts.  Take a look at the list below for what is included. This package of parts would be ideal for someone who is looking to plans build a STOL CH 701.  That individual would save hundreds of hours required to fabricate the parts and thousands of dollars on those difficult to fabricate parts usually purchased from Zenith.  The current cost of the parts we were able to locate on the online store is in excess of $7,000.  I am familiar with the Zenith line of kit aircraft having build or completed 2 CH 601 XLBs, a CH 650 XLB and recently a STOL CH 750.  I am also an A&P and an EAA Tech Counselor. We will not sell individual parts, this is a package deal.
