Hello,

I just got a quote today for "Not in motion" insurance for my CH 650 project. The quote came from BWI for $500.00 per year. I haven't read everything through yet but this is one of the more reasonable quotes that I've gotten. Is any one using "project" insurance? Anything I need to watch out for? Thanks, Ray W.

I used AVEMCO for my project insurance, I was $85k out of pocket on the build, so I did not want a break in to kill the project. It was a bit over $400 in 2018. When I went to fly they were 3x more expensive than anyone else so I went with Falcon/EAA and they had two other insurers I have used over the 4 years I have been flying. About $1700/year and they covered me from hour zero (with transition training).

I liked the security of knowing it was covered.
