Putting an IO-360 200hp engine in my 801. Working now on the Oil cooler mount and baffling. I am wondering if anyone has used the baffling kit from Zenith and whether or not it would work well with the slant valve design of the IO-360 A1A. The valve covers look completely different and I am wondering about the rest of the kit as well. I am putting a rather large Oil cooler on and want to maintain a 60/40 split on the air plenum to keep the cylinders cool on this higher performance engine.
I am also putting a Nippon Denso alternator on so I am building a bracket for that.
I am building the air box for a K&N 2060 air filter as well. I have a pretty good design I think but looking for any issues folks have had with their airboxes so I can avoid those. Clearly this is a fuel injected engine so no need for carb heat but alternate air source ideas. I plan right now on a spring loaded bottom door for that.
Any advice on these type builds would be appreciated.
