Hi... I have joined the forward fuselage to the rear of my 750, and have riveted the longerons, gussets, etc. in place. Also the cabin frame is now in place. Now two issues have become apparent. First, when I attempt to put the seat bases in place, it is a very tight fit, and the rivets holes for the bases and the seat supports no longer are aligned. Second, the holes in the end of the torque tube don't have enough clearance to place the collar in place with the bolt, etc. Apparently the rear torque tube bearing and the forward torque tube bearing are about 1/8" too far apart. If any of you have encountered these issues, I would sure appreciate hearing how you resolved them!
Thanks

Ken,
Thanks for your replay... I'll let you know if I do find a solution. Incidentally, when I joined the forward fuselage to the rear, I had a helper, and we still struggled with it, and ended up recruiting a neighbor to help out. It is a rather unwieldy step in the building project!

Take a cruise through the pictures in my "Can-Zac Spycam" photo album. I took pictures of the solutions to the issues you mentioned and some you have not found yet. If that does not answer your questions I will try to explain further. All pictures have a description below. In fitting the seats, you sometimes have to move the holes... or install a new "L" and relocate rivet holes. Picture Albums are located on my page this site.

Bob,
Thanks for the resource...I'll check it out!

Having the same problems. After joining the seat bases does not want to line up. Contacted the factory and after numerous emails this was the final answer.
"
You have pulled the sides of the cabin sides in too far at the aft end. There isn't anything to set the distance when you attach the cabin side to the gear channel except the seat base because there isn't any supports in the cabin sides between the aft edge and the first extrusion just in front of the gear channel "
Also my torgue tube seems to be short.
Matt...
Yes, I realized the same thing, and your response from Zenith explains it well... eventually I was able to get the seat bases in place using suggestions from others above... and regarding the torque tube problem, I finally just rotated the stop ring 90 degrees and drilled from the top (so that the bolt will be vertical rather than horizontal), and that worked out ok.
Thanks,
Larry
