Specifically, I am wondering what increase (if any) in cruise speed the retractable gear yielded. I have seen people ask in the comments on YouTube, but I have not seen any answers. If anyone knows where it has been discussed, please leave a comment below. For reference, here is the YT Video:

It was indicating about 100 MPH in the video. It's the weight that would concern me. Plus it won't qualify for light sport in the US. EASA has similar restrictions to the US, except there is no gear or speed limitation. Pedro is a member here, but he hasn't been active for several years. There are some pictures though.

There is a Facebook account that looks to be him, but I don't have Facebook so I can't verify that.
You can get a fixed gear 650 to fly that fast, but it needs good power, many speed mods, or high fuel burn. I'd be curious what power setting was getting those speeds. The drag reduction from the retracts may be offset by weight gain.
Dear gawd - the empty weight on that thing must be well over a thousand pounds.
It's pretty looking for sure, but all that crap just in the cockpit is absurd. Even added custom roll bars.
He had some great ideas but he picked he wrong airframe for it.
