Missing L bracket on back side of spar extension?

I'm preparing to rivet the nose skins of the right wing. There is not an L bracket in the plans on the rear of the spar extension.  Home Built help shows skin to skin floating on that rivet line that is the extension of the front spar.  I'm thinking that I should install an L brachet to the back side of the front spar extension.

How have others handled this?
