Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
I have decided to sell my 750, as I have a great opportunity that makes a lot of sense to jointly own another Zenith with a good friend. I built N75ZX, completed in Aug of 2012. It has the Version 3 updates. She is a fairly simple machine, as in no fuel pump required, basic instrumentation, has ADSB-Out so I can fly anywhere, can start & fly home with no battery if need be, just the way I like it. I have had many years of hassle free flying with her, and very rarely has she not flown at least weekly.
- 1021 total hrs
-Continental C-90 with 1021 hrs SMOH, 788 hrs STOH. The top overhaul was due to ECI cylinders which had a nickel carbide coating that were subject to de-lamination, which mine did. They were replaced under warranty by ECI with regular steel barrel cylinders. When this top end OH was done, the case was opened as well and we had the main crank and rod bearings replaced since they were easy to do. Can't call that a true major overhaul though, since nothing else was done in the case. This work was done in October of 2013.
- Empty Weight approx. 820 lbs, has the upgraded 15 gal fuel tanks
-Catto 76X37 prop
-Grand Rapids EIS, Garmin 396 GPS
-new Garmin GTR 200 Com installed Jan 2022.
-ADSB-Out, King A76 transponder
-PPG 2-part Concept epoxy paint on Aluminum, all steel parts were powder-coated.
-Aero 21X8X6 main tires, 8.00X8.00X6 nose gear tire with custom built 1.5" taller nose gear fork.
-Bruce's Canopy Cover
-VG's on Elevator
-Mags serviced at 680 hrs & all new wiring harness for plugs installed.
-Complete replacement of engine baffling and motor mounts Sept. of 2022.
-Average Climb rates solo, 550-700 fpm, dual, 450-600 fpm. These are so dependent on OAT, fuel, DA etc., but these are realistic minimums full fuel at say 85º & DA field elevation of 2000'. I flew yesterday 4.5 hrs solo landing at 3 different airports and saw as much as 850 fpm. You can look that data up on Flight Aware.
I have many additional photos available, since only 3 can be displayed here. The plane is a 10 at 20 ft. She is no Lindy Award winner, just a good dependable flying machine. I'd like to list her here first to try and keep it in the family before going on Barnstormers. I can provide all the dual time anyone would need to get comfortable flying her. An A&P of your choice is free to do a complete inspection if desired. Price is $48K. I can be reached at 832.309.1730, or email me at jdy100@comcast.net.
