I have a zenith 250 and recently discovered that I am having trouble steering while taking off and landing. The problem is that the spring in the steering rods have broken and  the nose gear oscillates side to side. I can either replace with a similar system or replace the whole assembly with  rods direct  from the rudder pedals to the  nose gear gear arms and do without locking the nose gear and have it turn with the rudder. Has any one else have a similar situation?

Hi Clive,

new 250 owner here.  I'm interested in knowing what the outcome was.
