Finished my first condition inspection on my stol 750/UL350is this past weekend and also changed out the oil cooler to an Aero Classic 13 row cooler hoping for cooler oil temps this summer.  I didn’t do a great job fitting it to the cowl (it is a little bit of a job) but yesterday I relocated the plane to Nebraska because of threatening flood waters at our airport in Kansas and was surprised to have a 20 degree F.

drop in my oil temps.  Seems like UL should recommend the larger cooler to start with.  Anyway, it’s worth changing it if you are experiencing high oil temps.
