I am installing an AOA instrument in my 650. The instructions say to install the wing sensors at the same percentage of chord, one on the top and one on the bottom of the wing, and anywhere between 15% and 40% of chord is acceptable. My gut instinct is that this means perpendicular to the chord line... so for example if my chord line was 1000 mm long and I wanted to go at 20%, that would be 200 mm from the tip, along the chord, and then go perpendicular to the top and bottom skins to pinpoint the install spots. I'm no aeronautical engineer, but if anyone could confirm or dispute my gut instinct it would be much appreciated.
