Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
I've had a few flights now while wearing the helmet and I have to say that wearing the helmet in the airplane is a non-event. Putting it on and off has already become second nature and there are no interference issues encountered so far. Having the tinted visor eliminates the need for sunglasses (swapping glasses in my case) and knowing I have some bird strike eye protection is reassuring as well. Overall the helmet is extremely comfortable and lightweight with no evidence of "hotspots" developing after an hour long flight. In fact, after strapping in and putting on the helmet with headseet I don't even notice I am wearing a helmet! Glad I got it.

Well ditto on my Comtronics helmet, it is surprisingly light and comfortable even in the warmer weather that’s arrived. Only thing I’m not sure I like is the visor, I don’t fly with a ball cap so I don’t like the restriction in my upward visibility. If I did not wear the clear face shield I could remove the visor but with the face shield you have to wear the visor. Overall though I’m impressed for $250.
