Hello all,

I am becoming a new member of the community and purchasing a 2006 CH 701 and wanted to know if anyone could recommend someone to do a pre buy inspection? Plane is based in Indiana. Thanks in advance. I have been doing some research on what to look out for like,

  • Structural Integrity: Inspect the aluminum sheet metal for cracks, dings, or buckling, particularly around high-stress areas.
  • Rivets: Look for "smoking rivets" (black, powdery residue around rivets) on the wings and aft fuselage, which indicate loosening.
  • Nose Gear/Firewall: Carefully check the nose gear mounting attachment at the firewall for cracks or damage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and looking forward to being part of the SkyJeep family!
